The work takes its inspiration from the artist's childhood memory of catching tuberculosis and appearing unprepared on stage for the traditional primary school celebration with a black adult-sized umbrella found at the time. The object that is mainly identified as a protector, points out a state of exposure, in contrast to hiding in this installation. The autonomous umbrella, whose movement is defined by the weather forecast of Üsküdar/Istanbul, offers a ritualistic performance. This ritual starts with the initiation of rain in Üsküdar and continues until when the rain stops.
